Here are the most common questions people ask prior to their events.
- Do you have a written contract? Yes.
- Can we meet the person who will actually be working my event before we sign a contract? Yes. The person who comes to the pre-event meeting will be the person working your event.
- Will you work with my playlist AND my do not play list? Yes. We’re here to work with you and make your event memorable & successful.
- Will your equipment allow you to mix one song into another so that there are no breaks in between songs? Yes.
- Will you take breaks? If so, what happens during the breaks? The only breaks we will take are restroom breaks. Our DJ software can be set to “continuous play” so if the DJ is away when one song finishes, the next one starts automatically.
- Will you take requests during the event? Unless you specify that we will not take requests, then yes, we will gladly do so.
- Will you act as emcee and announce the cake cutting, first dance, toasts, etc? Can someone else act as emcee? It’s up to you. We’d be happy to act as an emcee or you can have someone else do so. They are welcome to use our equipment.
- Can you give us an example of how you will make these announcements? Yes. If you’d like, we can send you an MP3 recording of announcement samples.
- How many events do you DJ each year? Will you have another event on the same day? The number of events varies depending on our schedules. We never schedule more than one event per day. We want all our resources available for the current event.
- Have you worked at our reception site before? Possibly. Let us know where your reception will be held and we’ll let you know. If we haven’t worked at your reception site, it’s not a big deal as long as we have enough room to set up our DJ table.
- Do your prices include the sound system, speakers, wireless microphone for the toasts, etc? Yes. If you need something out of the ordinary, let us know in advance and we’ll see if we can make appropriate accommodations.
- What if we really want to hear songs that aren’t in your music collection? If there are specific songs that you want us to play at your event, let us know at least one week prior to the event date. This will give us plenty of time to purchase them. Due to time constraints, requests made within one week of your event might not get purchased.
- Will you advertise your services to our guests? Will you be discrete? We will not openly advertise. We are there to work your event, not to sell our services. If someone asks us about our services, we will provide them with a business card.
- What do you wear as a wedding DJ? Unless you specify otherwise, we will wear either a button down or polo type shirt and solid colored khaki-type pants.
If your question has not been answered in the questions above, please feel free to ask.
